Day 6 - 1890 World Fair

Jan 6, 2025  What could it possibly have been like in 1890? 135 years ago? 1871-1914 was called the Belle Époque - after the Franco-Persian war and before WWI.  While there was a nouveau riche class - poverty continued to plague the masses. Many people came through Paris for the exibitions - in this case the World Fair of 1890.

Louis Béroud is famously known for having discovered the theft of the Mona Lisa in 1911.
